Latest Random Curry

Post by Lozman »

Hi Everyone,

I thought I'd post a picture of my latest random curry. I decided to wing this one ;) Essentially the recipe was;

3 tbsp of vegetable oil
Around 2 US cups of CA's newer curry base (which I made a batch of a while back and froze).
2 tbsp of CA's spice mix
1 tspn of extra chilli powder
two small chicken breasts cubed and pre-prepared with a little of the base and some cumin until just cooked.

Towards the end of the simmering I added;

1 tsp garam masala
a generous sprinkling of dried methi leaves
6 tbsp on double cream
half a cup of ground almonds
half a cup of flaked coconut
a sprinkling of chopped coriander

I don't know what I would call this curry, but I figured I would just try throwing a few things together. I am sure a bunch of you are horrified but I must say I enjoyed the result :) Here's a picture of it with some shop bought naan's and some slightly over-cooked pilau rice ;)

It certainly look tasty, Lozman. Sounds a bit like a CTM type dish from the ingredients.
